Cardi B has made headlines for chart-topping hits, sold-out shows and her lavish lifestyle. This time, however, the rapper attracted attention for something far more ordinary: cleaning her grandparents’ house in the Dominican Republic.
Videos circulating on October 12 and 13, 2026, showed the rapper sweeping, scrubbing and washing floors at her paternal family’s home in Castañuelas, Montecristi province. The footage, reportedly shared by her father, Carlos Almánzar, quickly spread across social media.
According to HOLA! USA’s report on Cardi B cleaning her grandmother’s house, the visit coincided with her 34th birthday on October 11.
The scene offered a contrast to the elaborate performances and celebrity appearances usually associated with the Grammy-winning rapper. Rather than appearing onstage, she was helping with household chores during a family visit.
Why Cardi B’s Cleaning Video Went Viral
The footage attracted attention because it showed Cardi B in a familiar domestic setting rather than the glamorous environment associated with her career.
In the clips, she appeared to use ordinary cleaning supplies to help maintain the family home.
The footage does not establish why Cardi chose to clean, but it offered fans a glimpse of her away from the stage and recording studio.
A Birthday Visit to Her Dominican Family
Cardi B’s trip coincided with her 34th birthday and reports of a recent death in her paternal family.
Born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar in New York City, the rapper has Dominican roots through her father and Trinidadian heritage through her mother. Her visit to Castañuelas brought attention to her connection with her father’s side of the family.
According to Kursiv’s coverage of the cleaning video, the footage showed her helping clean the family property during her stay in the Dominican Republic.
The birthday visit also featured family celebrations, including relatives gathering around a cake. The cleaning clips subsequently became a talking point online, bringing attention to a more personal side of the trip.
Cardi B’s Net Worth
Cardi B’s estimated wealth adds context to the public interest in the video.
Celebrity Net Worth estimates Cardi B’s net worth at approximately $120 million. This is an independent estimate, not a figure confirmed by the rapper or her financial representatives.
Her commercial success grew significantly after the release of Bodak Yellow in 2017. Her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, followed in 2018 and won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
Since then, she has earned income through music, touring, endorsements and other business ventures. Her 2025 album, Am I the Drama?, marked another major release in her career.
Although the reported fortune is substantial, net worth estimates account for more than cash earnings and can vary depending on the assets and liabilities considered.
How Many Children Does Cardi B Have?
Cardi B has four children. She shares three children with her estranged husband, rapper Offset, and has a fourth child with NFL player Stefon Diggs.
Her children are:
- Kulture: Born in July 2018.
- Wave: Born in September 2021.
- Blossom: Born in September 2024.
- Her youngest son: Born in November 2025, with Stefon Diggs.
The rapper generally keeps some details about her youngest son private. Her family life has nevertheless attracted considerable public interest, particularly through social media posts and appearances involving her older children.
The latest cleaning video also recalled an earlier report involving her daughter Kulture. In 2025, footage reportedly showed the child helping clean a floor during a visit to relatives in the Dominican Republic.
That earlier moment provides a family connection to the latest viral clip, although there is no evidence that either incident was planned for publicity.
Cardi B’s 2026 Tour
The viral video comes after a major year of touring for Cardi B.
Her Little Miss Drama Tour began on February 11, 2026, in Palm Desert, California. The North American arena run supported her album Am I the Drama? and included stops across the United States and Canada.
The published tour schedule extended through April 2026. Check Cardi B’s official website for announcements about future performances.
Her touring career highlights the scale of her success, but the cleaning footage attracted attention for a different reason. It showed the rapper in a family setting, far removed from the production and spectacle of a live show.
A Different Side of Cardi B
Cardi B’s visit to the Dominican Republic became a viral story because it captured an everyday activity involving a globally recognised performer.
The footage showed her helping clean her paternal family’s home during a birthday visit. Her Dominican heritage and the family context added further interest, while her estimated fortune and high-profile career made the contrast particularly striking.
Rather than another red-carpet appearance or concert announcement, the moment offered a brief look at Cardi B spending time with relatives. That ordinary scene was enough to draw widespread attention online.
